Settings

Sprigg's settings are organized into several sections, each accessible from the Settings page in the app. These controls let you fine-tune how Sprigg manages your lawn.

Property Settings

Core property information that drives Sprigg's analysis and recommendations:

The expertise level shapes both chat and the daily analysis: beginners get plain-language conclusions and simple next steps, while advanced users see the machinery — application rates, active ingredients, ET references, and the science behind each recommendation.

It also controls the Science panelon each zone's detail page: hidden for beginners, headline numbers (soil moisture, feeding, mowing height) for intermediate, and the full machinery — growth potential, nitrogen budget arithmetic, spray windows — for advanced. See the Zones page for what each tier shows.

Soil Test

The Soil Testcard in general settings shows your latest lab results in plain language — a pH verdict plus phosphorus, potassium, and organic-matter readings — and lets you upload a new report. Photograph or scan your lab's report page (the one with the results table) and Sprigg reads the values automatically; only the extracted numbers are stored, not the image. Sprigg then factors the results into its fertilizer and lime guidance. Soil test reading requires a plan with photo analysis.

Watering Preferences

Fine-tune how Sprigg manages your irrigation schedule:

Zone Metadata

For each zone imported from your controller, you can configure:

• Category — Lawn, garden, or non-lawn. Non-lawn and garden zones (flower beds, vegetable gardens, trees) receive different watering strategies. The AI treats lawn zones with turf-specific disease management and water budgeting.
• Description— Free-text description like "Back yard, mostly shaded, slopes toward drainage". This context is passed to the AI advisor and improves recommendation quality.

Hardware details (precipitation rate, nozzle type, soil type, root depth, shade, slope) are automatically imported from your controller during sync and used in watering calculations.

Each zone also has a Calibratebutton for running a catch-cup test — a measured precipitation rate and uniformity estimate that replace the controller's assumed values. Calibrated zones show a Calibrated badge. See Irrigation for how to run the test.

Measure areareplaces a zone's estimated square footage with a measured one. To trace a zone:

1. In Settings → Zones, click Measure area on the zone
2. Tap the zone's corners on the satellite image to trace its outline — the square footage updates live as you go
3. Close the shape and save (you can undo points or re-measure any time)

The measured area is used everywhere square footage matters — fertilizer quantities and water totals — and the zone shows a Measured badge.

Irrigation Mode

Toggle between Active and Audit mode:

• Audit — View daily recommendations without automatic execution. Best for new users.
• Active — Sprigg automatically controls your irrigation system. Requires a qualifying plan.

The mode can be toggled from the Settings page.

Disease Thresholds

Customize when disease risk levels trigger from the default thresholds:

• Low → Moderate — Score threshold (default: 30)
• Moderate → High — Score threshold (default: 55)
• High → Critical — Score threshold (default: 75)

Lower these values if your lawn is disease-prone; raise them if disease is rarely an issue. See the Disease Risk page for details on how scoring works.

Notifications

Configure how and when Sprigg notifies you:

• Urgent action alerts requiring immediate attention
• Disease risk spike alerts when levels change
• Frost warnings — Alert when frost or a hard freeze is forecast within 48 hours, with guidance on skipping evening irrigation and delaying nitrogen
• Water budget milestone warnings (behind pace, overwatering)
• Watering executed confirmations (Active mode)
• Controller error alerts (offline, sync failures)
• Weekly summary reports
• System alerts
• Announcements — Product news and updates from the Sprigg team, delivered to your notification bell and optionally by email. Toggle this off if you only want lawn-related alerts.

Notifications appear in-app via the bell icon in the navigation bar. You can mark them as read individually or all at once. Occasionally the team also posts an announcement banner at the top of the app — you can dismiss it with the X and it won't reappear.

Push Notifications

Sprigg can also deliver alerts to your phone's lock screen as push notifications. Push is enabled per device: tap Enable push on this device in Settings → Notifications and allow notifications when your browser asks. The per-type toggles above apply to both email and push — turn off frost warnings and you get neither the email nor the push.

On iPhone, push requires the installed app: add Sprigg to your home screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen), then enable push from inside the installed app. See Getting Started for install steps.

Integrations

From Settings → Integrations, connect your Rachio or Orbit B-Hyve controller, WeatherFlow Tempest weather station, and Ecowitt soil-moisture sensors. For security, sensitive credentials (API keys and passwords) are never shown again after saving — the field displays "Saved — enter a new value to replace" instead. Type a new value to update a credential, or clear the field to remove it. See the Integrations page for full setup instructions.

Managing Properties

From Settings → Properties, you can:

• Add a property — Create additional properties (limited by your plan tier)
• Edit a property — Update name and configuration
• Delete a property — Remove a property and its data (your default property cannot be deleted)
• Switch active property — Select which property the Home page and recommendations focus on

Account Management

Account-level actions:

• Change password — Update your account password
• Delete account — Permanently delete your account and all associated data. Requires password confirmation. This action is irreversible.
